This piece represents the feeling of coming into wholeness by integrating two truths that exist together as one: sorrow and joy.

We often ironically want to amputate parts of ourselves, rather than accept them, as an attempt to feel whole again. But when we understand that we must feel emotions that are heavy, give them care and attention, we can then learn to carry them as part of the fabric of our lives.

This doesn't mean to make an identity of suffering, it simply means letting it become a thread in the tapestry of ourselves. There is no light without darkness, no hope without suffering, no joy without grief. I hope this piece helps you soften into the harder parts of life, and to learn to bend without breaking, like the willow branches also featured here.
